Course Number: CED E16 01 BI
Course Description: This course is designed for the electrician or technician who is currently working for or who would like to work for one Maine’s many high tech manufacturers. Prior training in electrical and control systems is a must. You must bring a windows laptop and know how to access wi-fi, search the web, download and install software, and establish serial communications. Topics covered will include Programmable Logic Controllers by Rockwell Automation and Automation Direct; Industry Standard Mechanical, Inductive, Capacitive, and Photo-Electric Proximity Sensors; Sinking and Sourcing Electrical Connections; Variable Frequency Drives; Advanced Motor Control; Industrial Maintenance and Troubleshooting Techniques; and Industrial electrical safety.
