Description

The curriculum is designed to prepare the student to provide basic medical assisting under the supervision and delegation of the Education Department, Medical Staff and experienced Medical Assistants.

The course consists of a combination of classes in theory, lab, and clinical learning experiences. You will be given the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to function safely in a clinical setting. Professional Attire and Behavior are expected and graded throughout the course. We follow the Northern Light Mayo policies, Mission and values.

Students whom successfully complete the course and pass the certification exam are eligible for hire at Northern Light Mayo and/or Ca Dean.
