Description

The Pharmacy Technician course offers students the necessary technical skills to assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in both hospital and retail environments. Through hands-on learning experiences, students will develop competencies in a variety of pharmacy practices, such as:
• Drug packaging and labeling
• Out-patient and hospital dispensing procedures
• Controlled substance handling
• Inventory management
• Non-sterile compounding techniques
• Routine injections
By the end of the program, students will be capable of performing supervised dispensing tasks across different pharmacy settings. Additionally, they will be eligible to take the National Health Careers (NHA) CPht Certification Exam, a recognized credential that can enhance their career prospects in the field.
