CED T23 Mentor Teacher for Field Placement III
The mentor teacher will supervise the field placement student for the entire 180 (135 hours for Education Students) hours that they are placed in their classroom. In addition to this ongoing supervision the mentor teacher will complete the following:
1. Read the Field Experience Handbook and sign the Letter of Agreement.
2. Orient the student to school policies and procedures.
a. Share the program handbook and operating procedures.
b. Acquaint student with emergency and fire procedures that are followed at your facility.
c. Inform the student of snow day/foul weather policies and how to access necessary information regarding school closure.
d. Provide your contact information for the student.
e. Share a class list of children the student will work with.
3. Explain all expectations that you expect the student to meet.
4. Keep accurate account of the student attendance on the form provided. Initial each entry and sign the attendanc
