MAT 117 Intermediate Algebra 3 Credits
Builds a solid foundation in algebraic methods and techniques. The course covers signed numbers, order of operations, grouping symbols, linear equations, inequalities, exponents, polynomials, factoring, algebraic fractions, radicals, graphing, slopes, absolute value, quadratic equations, systems of linear equations. (3 lec, 0 lab) Prerequisite: Appropriate score on placement test, or Grade of C or better in LAM 009, or equivalent.
