MAT 217 Pre-Calculus 3 Credits
Designed to deepen and broaden a student’s mathematical expertise before tackling the rigors of calculus, this course covers progressions, the binomial theorem, theory of polynomials with the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, exponential and logarithmic functions, determinants, matrices, trigonometric identities, and fundamentals of plane analytic geometry. (3 lec, 0 lab) Prerequisites: MAT 116 and 120 with a grade of C or higher or MAT 123 with a grade of C or higher, or equivalent
